Abstract
Education refers to activities undertaken with the aim of bringing about learning in the learner. Therefore, education will be useful and effective when it results in learning. Accordingly, every organization needs capable human resources in order to achieve its objectives. When the capabilities of an organization’s human resources are insufficient to accomplish its objectives, education becomes necessary. Thus, education may be regarded as a process through which individuals acquire the appropriate skills, attitudes, and orientations required to perform a particular role in pursuit of a specific objective.Effective education contributes to increased organizational productivity and also prepares individuals to assume future responsibilities within the organization. Accordingly, a number of conditions are identified as contributing to cohesion, including the establishment of trust and confidence, the fulfillment of psychological and emotional needs, greater continuity and permanence within the group, an increased sense of security, greater satisfaction and contentment, protection against isolation from the group, reduction of disagreement and conflict, an enhanced sense of belonging, a reduction in feelings of isolation, a stronger spirit of cooperation, greater readiness for self-sacrifice within the group, and an increased willingness to remain in the group. For this purpose, greater efforts should be made to establish healthy relationships among Basij members. A healthy and work-conducive environment cannot be created all at once. Through education, deficiencies in knowledge and skills can be addressed, and changes can be brought about in patterns of behavior and attitudes. Education can therefore play an effective role in this process and, consequently, facilitate the realization of the objective of maintaining the cohesion of Basij members.
