The Role of Questioning in the Dynamism of the Educational Environment

Undoubtedly, asking questions and engaging in inquiry, which stem from the innate human sense of curiosity, have been instrumental in bringing about many of the major developments in human society, particularly in the areas of invention and innovation. Among the settings that can cultivate and nurture this God-given disposition are educational environments. Schools, universities, and other educational settings create conditions that stimulate learners’ motivation to learn and prepare them to actualize their latent potential. Accordingly, such environments provide teachers and professors with an excellent opportunity to nurture this potential through appropriate methods and to foster a spirit of inquiry and questioning among learners.Naturally, awakening this sense of inquiry will, in turn, encourage the pursuit of answers; consequently, it will create the conditions necessary for the advancement of thought and the production of knowledge. This paper seeks, through an examination of certain theories of educational systems and through presenting and explaining the significance of inquiry and questioning, to identify this phenomenon to the extent possible and propose strategies for strengthening a questioning mindset within educational environments and classrooms for professors, teachers, and instructors. In this way, students can be appropriately nurtured, and classrooms and educational environments can acquire the dynamism they require.

The Role of Education in Maintaining and Strengthening the Cohesion of Basij Members

Education refers to activities undertaken with the aim of bringing about learning in the learner. Therefore, education will be useful and effective when it results in learning. Accordingly, every organization needs capable human resources in order to achieve its objectives. When the capabilities of an organization’s human resources are insufficient to accomplish its objectives, education becomes necessary. Thus, education may be regarded as a process through which individuals acquire the appropriate skills, attitudes, and orientations required to perform a particular role in pursuit of a specific objective.Effective education contributes to increased organizational productivity and also prepares individuals to assume future responsibilities within the organization. Accordingly, a number of conditions are identified as contributing to cohesion, including the establishment of trust and confidence, the fulfillment of psychological and emotional needs, greater continuity and permanence within the group, an increased sense of security, greater satisfaction and contentment, protection against isolation from the group, reduction of disagreement and conflict, an enhanced sense of belonging, a reduction in feelings of isolation, a stronger spirit of cooperation, greater readiness for self-sacrifice within the group, and an increased willingness to remain in the group. For this purpose, greater efforts should be made to establish healthy relationships among Basij members. A healthy and work-conducive environment cannot be created all at once. Through education, deficiencies in knowledge and skills can be addressed, and changes can be brought about in patterns of behavior and attitudes. Education can therefore play an effective role in this process and, consequently, facilitate the realization of the objective of maintaining the cohesion of Basij members.

Application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Addressing Natural Disasters

Iran’s geographical location on active seismic belts constantly exposes the country to numerous natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, and fires. This study investigates the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in disaster management and response to natural calamities, focusing specifically on the metropolis of Tehran. Given the dense urban fabric, narrow passages, and vulnerability of urban infrastructure, utilizing modern information technologies for preventative planning and timely relief operations remains vital. The findings indicate that GIS, through its spatial data analysis capabilities, plays a crucial role in locating medical centers, determining optimal evacuation routes, organizing emergency response forces, and ultimately mitigating casualties and financial losses.
