Study of Motivational Factors Affecting the Recruitment of Teenagers in the Basij

Abstract
In this study, in order to identify the most important motivational factors affecting the recruitment of adolescents into the resistance force, a sample of 200 people was selected from among all adolescents participating in several training courses. Then, the level of their various motivations, as well as the individual and organizational factors affecting those motivations, were measured using a scale with validity and reliability. The resulting data were analyzed using several statistical tests and with the help of SPSS computer software. The results indicated that some psychosocial motivations play an important role in pushing young people into the Basij resistance force. In addition, the findings showed that both factors within the resistance force and individual factors cause adolescents to tend or not to tend to Basij.
