This research is applied in terms of objective, correlational in terms of method, and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection (research design). The statistical population consists of 15 progressive and prominent organizations. The statistical population of this research included 429 individuals, which decreased to 122 individuals after collecting researcher-made questionnaires. In this research, two independent variables: knowledge management and progressive and prominent organizations, and three dependent variables: knowledge strategy decision-making, information technology, and knowledge application, were examined. To measure validity and reliability, the researcher used Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The Cronbach's alpha value for all variables is above 0.7%, indicating the high reliability of the questionnaire. Content validity was used to measure the questionnaire in this research, and in this regard, the researcher-made questionnaire was provided to domain experts and approved. Data analysis was performed in two descriptive and analytical sections using SPSS win22 software, and inferential statistics using regression tests were employed to prove or reject the research hypotheses. The research findings indicate that information technology has the highest impact on knowledge management on the performance of progressive and prominent organizations with 0.32%, knowledge application variable with 0.31%, and strategic decision-making variable with 0.12% at a significant level. Accordingly, based on the data results, there is a positive relationship between knowledge management and the performance of progressive and prominent organizations based on knowledge strategy decision-making, information technology, and knowledge application among other components of knowledge management. The results of this research are beneficial for optimal decision-making by top managers who play a role in company policymaking regarding succession planning for managerial positions.
