This study aims to elucidate and conceptualize the Qur’anic paradigm of political steadfastness as a comprehensive model for confronting contemporary challenges. The central research question investigates what doctrines, threat analyses, and strategies for human flourishing the Holy Qur’an presents in response to the complex and multilayered aggression of dominating powers, which targets the identity, cohesion, and independence of faith-based communities. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology and drawing upon Qur’anic verses, authoritative tafsir literature, and the thought of Islamic scholars, this article concludes that the Qur’an introduces steadfastness not as a situational tactic, but as a strategic and identity-defining principle. The doctrine of enemy aggression—conceptualized as khutuwat al-shayṭān (the footsteps of Satan)—is analyzed as a gradual and subtle process aimed at internal destabilization and external isolation. This process is methodically examined on two intertwined internal and external planes, each comprising four distinct stages. In contrast, the Qur’anic counter-strategies are articulated in three foundational and overarching principles: (1) adherence to ḥabl Allāh (the divine rope) as a unifying strategy to neutralize divisiveness; (2) basīrah (insight/strategic discernment) as a compass for navigating cognitive and media-driven seditions; and (3) the Qur’anic principle of “la tazlimūna wa la tuzlamūn” (“neither do you wrong, nor shall you be wronged”) as the cornerstone of an honorable and justice-oriented foreign policy. The findings of this research indicate that the Qur’anic paradigm provides an integrated and effective framework for analyzing, anticipating, and countering even the most complex political threats.
