The aim of this study is to identify the functions of mosque-based Basij organizations in reviving the culture of resistance, with a specific focus on mosques in District Seven of Tehran. This research is applied in terms of purpose, descriptive-correlational in terms of methodology, and quantitative (survey-based) in terms of data collection approach. The statistical population includes Basij base commanders and mosque imams, totaling 102 individuals, all of whom were included in the research through a census sampling method. Data was gathered through both library and field methods. A standardized questionnaire, rated on a five-point Likert scale, was distributed among the 102 participants. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts through a face validity approach, and reliability was supported by a pre-test using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, which was above 0.7, indicating strong reliability. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was employed to examine the normality of the data distribution. All data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tests (demographic variables) and analytical statistical tests, with the research hypotheses examined through one-sample t-tests. The findings confirm all research hypotheses, demonstrating that mosques, as vital and dynamic centers, play a key role in training committed generations, promoting Islamic and religious values, strengthening national unity as a symbol of solidarity, and reviving the culture of resistance. During challenging periods, they act as fortresses for the defense of the homeland, national interests, and revolutionary values.
