The pivotal role and importance of geopolitics in regional and global political games and international relations is of such significance that no one can deny it. Furthermore, awareness of the importance of power factors and the geographical position of countries relative to each other, natural resources, population, and ethnic and religious tendencies within and around the territory is considered an unquestionable matter for politicians, strategists, and high-ranking military commanders. Accordingly, close cooperation and interaction between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense within the domestic environment and safeguarding the country's borders, considering the peripheral environment and its impact on internal affairs and border regions, is important. The Karabakh war started on September 27, 2020, in the mountainous region of Karabakh and is considered the beginning of a major transformation in the military doctrine of these countries. This war eventually ended with Russian mediation and the deployment of 2,000 peace-keeping soldiers. Therefore, an attempt has been made to examine Iran's geopolitical components that relate to the Karabakh crisis. The present research is applied and has been prepared using a descriptive-analytical method.
