With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989, the bipolar system transformed into a unipolar system led by the United States, bringing about major changes in U.S. strategy because managing the hegemony of the entire global system created huge costs for the U.S. Therefore, geopolitical regions underwent transformation, and dominating sensitive strategic and geopolitical regions has been and remains emphasized by American thinkers and consequently its politicians, policymakers, and strategists. In the global system partitioned by the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East (Southwest Asia) are considered vital regions for the U.S. In the Middle East, due to the lack of a central government from the U.S. perspective, the country itself assumes a managerial and controlling role. In the strategic sphere of the Middle East, it plays a decisive geostrategic role and is a vital region in the operational scene of the future global system or the new global power order after the Cold War. The question of the present research is: What are Iran's deterrent actions in sensitive territory-building points? To answer this question, relying on library and media sources and using a descriptive-analytical approach, the subject has been examined. The Islamic Revolution of Iran is a system with global goals and missions and carries a message for all of humanity, and striving to expand its influence in the region and the world is part of the essence and nature of this revolution, creating a competition between these two countries—one to contain and preserve its dominance and the other to expand Islamic sovereignty and expel the colonial power—which has led to conflicts and confrontations.
