The goal of the Islamic economic system at the macro level is to increase community wealth and public welfare. In this regard, the resistance economy has been proposed with the aim of coping with shocks inflicted on the economy. Over the past eight years, the Supreme Leader has raised the evolutionary nature of the thought and practice of the resistance economy and implemented it in the country. Considering the Norooz slogans of the past 8 years by the Supreme Leader, it can be said that the thought and practice of the resistance economy are centered on 8 main aspects, the analysis of the role of the armed forces in these 8 aspects is noteworthy, which is addressed in this research: meaning the role of the armed forces in "Innovation and Flourishing" (2008 slogan), "Reforming Consumption Patterns" (2009 slogan), "Double Effort and Double Work" (2010 and 2011 slogans), "Support for Domestic Production" (2012 slogan), "National Production, Support for Iranian Labor and Capital" (2013 slogan), "Resistance Economy" (2014 and 2015 slogans), "Resistance Economy: Action and Implementation" (2016 slogan), "Resistance Economy: Production and Employment" (2017 slogan), and the 2018 slogan as "Support for Iranian Goods", and finally the 2019 slogan as "Booming Production". In this research, by referring to articles by scientific and military thinkers, interviews with military elites, and military documents and letters, and through grounded theory, the role of the armed forces in realizing the thought and practice of the resistance economy was classified into 5 categories (Category 1: Scientific-technological activities of the armed forces, Category 2: Activities specific to the resistance economy of the armed forces, Category 3: Administrative-organizational activities of the armed forces, Category 4: Socio-cultural activities of the armed forces, Category 5: Security-building activities for the realization of the resistance economy) and 44 concepts. Finally, considering the role of the armed forces in the resistance economy, it is suggested that the existing capacities in the armed forces, including human resources, facilities and equipment, the use of initiatives and creativity, ideation in the armed forces, and the movement of part manufacturing in high-technology industries at an appropriate strategic level be used in the country's economy.
