Based on paragraph 1 of Article 110 of the Constitution, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, by promulgating the general policies of the "Resistance Economy" in continuation and completion of past policies, especially the general policies of Article 44 of the Constitution, emphasized that following a scientific and indigenous model derived from revolutionary and Islamic culture will be the factor for the enemy's defeat and retreat in the imposed economic war against the Iranian nation. In recent years, the Supreme Leader, by introducing the resistance economy and emphasizing it, has sought to discourse-build and emphasize the necessity of its implementation; especially in the sensitive conditions of this period when the country is threatened by various dangers from enemies, including sanctions. In this article, using an analytical-descriptive method, the concept of resistance economy has been examined and analyzed. First, this concept is discussed in terms of literal and terminological definitions and its history is stated, followed by an examination of the theoretical foundations of economic resilience in conventional economics. Afterwards, a review of this concept in the thought of the Supreme Leader has been carried out, and finally, the consequences and results of its realization are presented as the conclusion of the discussion. The conclusion is that if the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran implement this concept, which is completely indigenous and derived from the pure Islamic model, in their economic affairs and programs, three important consequences of the Islamic Revolution—namely economic independence, economic welfare, and economic progress—will come into practice.
