Security and how to achieve and secure it has always been one of the fundamental issues considered by governments, and sustainable security is a condition that can empower societies to prevent threats or defend against them and reduce insecurity. In this regard, the school and intellectual temperament of the administrators of society's administration is considered a fundamental and noteworthy issue. Utilizing the tradition and conduct of religious elders is for the administrators of the Islamic system in managing society and the security domain. Nahj al-Balagha has provided a comprehensive and complete picture in this regard, one of the brilliant chapters of which is Malek's covenant. From the perspective of Imam Ali (AS), ensuring security and establishing order and tranquility in society are among the motives of the uprising of the righteous and one of the duties of the Islamic government, and in Malek's covenant, the duty of the government is declared to be reforming the affairs of the people, developing and prospering cities, and preserving Islamic borders. This article, looking at the conduct of Imam Ali (AS) and focusing on Letter 53 of Nahj al-Balagha as the charter of governance, while pointing out the duties of the government in establishing security, has explained and enumerated the components of sustainable security in the Alavid school. The components of sustainable security from the perspective of this research include: mercy and affection, forgiveness and magnanimity, transparency, permission for criticism and protest, concealing faults, attending to the deprived, meritocracy and merit-selection, fairness, establishment of justice, upholding social rights, market monitoring, supervision, inspection, and follow-up.
