Perhaps it can be claimed that the history of using psychological operations is as old as human life. The advancement of technology and rapid news dissemination have caused the power of media to increase. Today, in international conflicts, media in both domestic and foreign dimensions provide psychological grounds for overcoming the enemy through conscious and intelligent manipulation of habits, beliefs, and opinions. The Islamic Republic, since the victory of the revolution, has been and is under massive attacks by various Western media, among which the BBC can be named as one of the most influential networks. This network is the most important and prominent tool of British public diplomacy to explain Britain's regional policies and then justify these actions for general and specific Iranian audiences, an approach that manifests within the framework of radio and television networks. Efforts to portray Iran's nuclear activities as dangerous, directing global public opinion at the level of citizens and officials to create a single front against Iran, portraying Iran as an isolated country, creating panic in Iran's neighboring countries, creating sensitivity toward Iran's nuclear programs against the environment, claiming that Iran does not need nuclear energy due to abundant oil and gas, by identifying major variables influencing the field of media psychological operation techniques, seek to uncover the application of techniques such as appeal to fear, repetition, priming/salience, modeling, virtual citation, exaggeration, censorship, news arrangement, testing, rumor, half-truth, steering, general phrasing, de-contextualization, negation and affirmation, big lie, deception, humiliation, creating division, derision and mockery, method of inducing depression and despair, etc.; as well as other objectives such as the main news domain, dominant news topic, news production method, news sources, news orientation, and news values, which psychological operation techniques were used regarding nuclear activities on the BBC Persian website during the eleventh presidential term? In this research, library method and quantitative content analysis have been used, and the sample size includes a census of all content in the collection of news and analyses of the BBC website, and images available in written form on this network's website.
