Today, ensuring security in all its dimensions is one of the primary concerns of political systems. One of the main criteria for evaluating governments, both from a domestic perspective and from the viewpoint of the international community, is the extent of their ability to ensure security. Controlling and managing crisis-generating factors in societal security is one of the main duties of rulers, statesmen, and influential forces in this matter. One of the most important groups whose performance always has a reciprocal impact on creating or managing security crises in society is the political elites. This article addresses the role of this group in community security. This paper entitled "Investigating the Role of Political Elites in Managing Security Crises and Presenting a Model," relying on available sources and historical evidence and clues from recent decades, has examined the role of political elites in managing and controlling security crises and in this regard has presented a conceptual model. The conducted research is a descriptive-analytical study carried out within the framework of elite and elitism theories. The investigation was conducted based on the two managerial and leadership roles of elites and within the framework of the elements of these roles across the temporal stages before, during, and after the crisis, from the dual perspectives of the positive and negative functions of the elites. Finally, from the process of truth, the conclusion is reached that the performance of political elites in managing security crises plays an effective and decisive role. This impact is presented in the form of a conceptual model at the end.
