Undoubtedly, Islam is a complete religion encompassing all laws and requisites of human felicity, and the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet as the roadmap of this religion toward human prosperity. Among the most influential factors in any society are its leader and manager and the quality of governance by them. In the Holy Quran, due to the importance of management, leadership and management are frequently discussed, and in this regard, two types of management and leadership are mentioned: The benevolent leader who guides toward goodness and felicity: ("Allah is the protector of those who have faith. He brings them out from darkness into light"), and the malevolent leader who leads his followers toward error and destruction: ("And those who disbelieve, their guardians are Taghut, who bring them out from light into darkness"). This article examines the characteristics of managers from the perspective of Islam in two positive (affirmative) and negative aspects.
