From the collection of verses of the Holy Quran and the statements of Imam Ali (PBUH) in Nahj al-Balagha, it is understood that enjoining good and forbidding wrong are among the most important and noble divine obligations, and all religious duties are established through them. The obligation of enjoining good and forbidding wrong is among the necessities of religion, and abandoning it brings about divine wrath, the loss of blessings, and the failure of prayers to be answered. Therefore, its stages must be thoroughly learned, and actions should be taken compassionately with the intention of attaining nearness to God and possessing a strong, firm faith to gain the satisfaction of Almighty God, while avoiding any tempting or superiority-seeking acts so that the groundwork for executing divine commands and the mission of the prophets and believers is provided, and the gap and negligence created regarding this important matter are resolved from lack of kindness and affection. Therefore, the philosophy of enjoining good is the reformation of society and unaware masses, guiding them toward the path of salvation, prosperity, and the well-being of human worldly and hereafter life, as well as strengthening faith, patience, and perseverance in the path of God.
