This study aims to elucidate the conceptual foundation of the resistance movement and examine its historical evolution and formative stages as a fundamental strategy in confronting aggression and territorial occupation. Reviewing the history of conventional and unconventional warfare, the article examines the adaptability of military structures and tactics in offensive and defensive operations, emphasizing the imperative of sustaining a dynamic defensive mindset against ongoing imperialist threats. The findings indicate that a comprehensive understanding of the nature, core characteristics, and deterrent functions of popular resistance operations plays a decisive role in unifying forces and formulating asymmetric warfare doctrines. Ultimately, the paper presents an in-depth understanding of the emergence and resilience of the resistance movement as the final and most potent defense mechanism for safeguarding territorial integrity and the transcendent values of the Islamic Revolution.
