Hezbollah’s victory in the Thirty-Three Day War stands as a significant turning point in the history of regional conflicts. Following this military confrontation, war correspondents and strategic analysts, particularly within the occupied territories and Western nations, have been deeply engaged in examining the various dimensions of this asymmetrical warfare. The core objective of such analyses is to determine the underlying factors behind Hezbollah’s triumph and the subsequent failure of the highly equipped Zionist regime’s army against a guerrilla force. This article elucidates the most critical reasons for this victory, including spiritual motivations and the ethos of martyrdom-seeking, sophisticated command and control, and information superiority. Furthermore, the provision of rigorous military training, coupled with socio-political factors and robust grassroots support, are identified as the pillars of this military success, all of which are thoroughly explored in this study.
