The shifts in the scale, nature, and complexity of threats posed by hegemonic powers against the Islamic Republic of Iran have rendered the revision and optimization of defense models an inevitable necessity. This study aims to elucidate the role of the Ashoora Resistance Battalions in strengthening national deterrence. The author contends that Iran’s defense doctrine remains rooted in the presence of faithful, revolutionary, and organized forces within the Basij institution. These formations create a popular deterrence that establishes a formidable barrier against the encroachments of international Zionism and dominant global regimes. The findings of this investigation indicate that the qualitative and organizational evolution of these battalions, in addition to enhancing national security, serves as an efficient strategy for confronting modern threats at both strategic and operational levels.
