The term Basiji Thought is a combination of two concepts—thought and Basiji—frequently emphasized in the speeches and writings of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader (may his shadow be extended). This paper, based on their perspectives, demonstrates that Basiji thought is rooted in the Holy Qur’an and derived from the dynamic jurisprudence of the Ja‘fari school. Accordingly, the concept and significance of thought in the Qur’an are examined, followed by an analysis of Basiji thought through Nahj al-Balagha of Imam Ali (AS) and the scientific and practical traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). The ultimate product of this thought is a loving knowledge and worship of Almighty God.
Basiji thought is also considered a strategic shortcut in achieving advanced global defense accomplishments. Its propagation contributes to enhanced social discipline and work ethics among managers and employees in the industrial sector. Beyond this, Basiji thought represents a global and comprehensive intellectual movement, instilling a deep sense of responsibility toward God and, consequently, fostering greater motivation for participation in public service initiatives.
